CIP opportunities

HEY GUYS!:)

my brother's CIP: i need people to go:)

We are a group of students from RI who are embarking on an initiative by the Special Olympics as well as Barclay’s Capital, “Let me Run With You”. “Let Me Run With You” is an initiative organized by the Special Olympics in order to raise funds for the Special athletes.

The Special athletes are a group of mentally disabled athletes who are mentally challenged, and their learning capacity is lower than that of the average person. Every year, these group of individuals enter the Special Olympics to compete against each other, learning important life skills in the process. These also help them to adapt to life around them.

The aim of the Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 2.5 million people with intellectual disabilities and our fund raising will definitely help all, if not most, of the Special athletes in Singapore.

As part of a fund-raising effort for these Special athletes, we are working together with the Special Olympics as well as Barclay’s Capital, in order to organize an event, known as “Let Me Run With You”. This event comprises of a marathon-cum-games, where Special athletes get to play WITH other people, against each other.

We are currently in need of 30-40 volunteers to help out with both shifts of the food and beverage section of the charity marathon, “Let me run with you”. This charity marathon will be held on the 20th July, 8am-3pm. The duties of these volunteers include serving of the buffet meals, maintenance of the cleanliness and hygiene of the buffet venue and being in charge of ticketing and admission. Also , we would require these volunteers to attend a briefing on hygiene guidelines as well as what is expected of them on the day itself ONE WEEK before the event day, on the 13th of July. The venue will be confirmed with you at a later date.

We look for ward to receiving your support.

Yours sincerely,

Lawis Koh

Group Leader

THANKS:)
